Caroline Rodrigues Vaz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Production Engineering at UFSC (Florianopolis Campus). She holds a Postdoctoral degree (PNPD/CAPES) in Production Engineering, Operations Management (2016-2018), and a Doctorate in Production Engineering (CNPq) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2016). She completed her Sandwich Doctorate (PDSE/CAPES) at the École Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tarbes (ENIT) in France (2013). She also holds a Master’s degree in Production Engineering (2010), Specialization in Scientific and Technological Education (2008), Specialization in Industrial Management: Production and Maintenance (2009), and a degree in Food Technology (2007), all from the Federal Technological University of Paraná. She is a researcher in the Sustainability and Management Center (NGS/UFSC) and the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Laboratory (LEMPI/UFSC). Her research areas include sustainability, eco-innovation, renewable energy, and reverse logistics. She specializes in structured literature reviews, such as bibliometrics, scientometrics, and content analysis. She has published in high-impact journals such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, Sustainability, and IEEE Latin America Transitions, and has presented her research at national and international conferences. She has also published books and book chapters in her research areas.
