Cesar Henrique Mattos Pires

Cesar Henrique Mattos Pires Originally from Rondonópolis-MT, he holds a Bachelor’s in Oceanography from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). He completed his Master’s in Oceanography as a CAPES scholar at INEOF/INCT, focusing on Coastal Systems Dynamics, followed by two years as a researcher at the Ocean Dynamics Laboratory.

Currently a PhD student in Production Engineering at UFSC, he investigates Renewable Resources and Just Energy Transition as a member of the SINERGIA group. His professional experience includes working on Just Energy Transition for the Santa Catarina State Secretariat for the Environment (2022–2024), where he resumed his role as a researcher in the Energy sector in November 2024.
